The North Penn Area 2 site, located in Hatfield, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania is an 87 acre area with volatile organic compound (VOC) contamination, the chemical components of solvents and degreasers, in the ground water and soil. The former Ametek facility is currently owned and operated by Penn Color. In 1986, the North Penn Water Authority detected TCE and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in on-site and downgradient wells. Site Responsibility Cleanup of this site is the responsibility of the federal and state governments and parties potentially responsible for site contamination.
