N39 W5789 HAMILTON ROAD

The Amcast Industrial site includes the Amcast property and surrounding areas that include residential properties, the storm water retention area (Wilshire Pond), Zeunert Park Quarry Pond, and storm sewers. The Amcast Industrial property is located at N39 W5789 Hamilton Road, with portions of the property located on the north and south sides of Hamilton Road, in the City of Cedarburg, Wisconsin. The property south of Hamilton Road (South Property) includes an office building, storage Quonset building, parking lot, and a former disposal area. The property north of Hamilton Road (North Property) includes the main manufacturing facility. The present site of the Amcast office building was formerly the location of the Meta-Mold Aluminum Company, an aluminum die-cast facility that started operating around 1939. The original foundry facility, formerly located east of the office building, was demolished between 1975 and 1980. The demolition and debris was placed in the south-southeast portion of the South Property (former disposal area). The former disposal area reportedly also received demolition debris from previous site structures, general office and/or factory refuse (e.g., paper and wood), and scrap metals. It is unknown when the manufacturing operation began on the North Property.
